1. Credit System & Usage

Arcvids operates on a credit-based system. By purchasing credits, you acquire a license to use our high-speed cloud archiving resources.

• Conversion: Credits are generally consumed at a rate of 1 credit per minute of video duration.
• Refund Policy: If a technical failure occurs during processing, credits will be automatically refunded to your balance.
• Stuck Job Protection: Any job that remains in a Queued or Retrying state for more than 24 hours will be automatically cancelled and all credits will be refunded to your account — no action required.
• Expiration: Credits do not expire as long as your account remains active.

Arcvids is a temporary transit service, not a long-term storage provider. Archived files are held in our secure **Google Cloud Storage** environment for a maximum of **24 hours**. After this period, files are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

4. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

You are solely responsible for the content you choose to archive. By using Arcvids, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the content or have obtained explicit written permission from the copyright holder to download and archive it.
• You will not use Arcvids to download, reproduce, or distribute videos owned by third parties (e.g., other YouTube creators, studios, or rights holders) without their authorisation.
• You understand that downloading copyrighted content without permission may violate YouTube's Terms of Service, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and equivalent copyright laws in your jurisdiction.
• You will not use Arcvids to process content that violates local laws or contains illegal materials.
